FLOW: clotted or painful periods
FLOW: clotted or painful periods
A moving formula for those with a history of:
painful periods: pain that accompanies or precedes your cycle, endometriosis
clotted periods
migraines that accompany or precede your period
During your period your body strongly constricts blood flow to the uterus because it is no longer needed to nourish a potential child. This constriction, along with hormone fluctuations, is what causes pain and cramping during your menses. Because your uterus constricts during menses, some pain is a normal part of a period. However, pain that affects your ability to function is more indicative of an underlying imbalance.
The ingredients in Flow have antispasmodic and emmenagogue properties which help alleviate pain by stimulating blood flow through the pelvic area and uterus. This same stimulation also helps assist in reducing menstrual clots. Additionally, Flow features corydalis (yan hu suo) which is the most valued herb for pain in Chinese medicine.
Ingredients:
Angelicae (dang gui): used for gynecological complaints, helps regulate menstruation, helpful in amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea
Bulrush (pu huang): benefits blood circulation, helps alleviate menstrual cramps
Red Peony (chi shao): builds blood, treats menstrual cramps and irregularities
Corydalis (yan hu suo): relieves pain
Chuan xiong (chuan xiong): invigorates blood,* helps with cramps and clots
Myrrh (mo yao): helps move blood stagnation, restores blood flow
Cinnamon bark (rou gui): warms and stimulates vital functions of the body
Fennel (xiao hui xiang): antispasmodic, helps with cramps
Dried ginger (gan jiang): relieves spasms and cramps, warms the center (stomach) and aids in digestion

Dosage: 3 pills 3x a day with food. One bottle, taken as instructed, lasts 11 days.
Want your bottle to last longer? If your body is more sensitive, you can start with 2 pills 3 times a day. If you’re getting the desired results from that dose, stay there! Taken at this dose you would need 1.5 bottles to get through the month.
If you experience loose stools, start with a lower dose (1 pill 2x a day) and ease your way up. If you experience any adverse side effects, stop the formula immediately and consult your physician.
